Meet the Maestro: Mitr0 joins Team Liquid

We’re very excited to announce another addition to our Fortnite roster. Many of you will know him for his dominant online performances across 2019, and stellar duos showing at the Fortnite World Cup. We’re pleased to announce that Mitr0 has officially joined Team Liquid. Mitr0 has been one of the best Fortnite players in the world for the entirety of its competitive lifespan and has also shown himself to be one of the most creative players in the scene. We look forward to watching him continue to improve through 2020 and can't wait to see the crazy plays he comes up with.
Since Fortnite competitions started, Mitr0 has always been considered one of the best players in the game. The second I heard he was a Free Agent I knew I had to reach out immediately to get to know him more and it's been nothing but an absolute pleasure. Tell us a bit about yourself, what got you into Fortnite and what made you want to play it competitively?
what got me into fortnite was one of my irl friends that told me about it, I played 1 game just when battle royale got released and thought it was a shit game so I didn't play it for like a month, then came back on it and started playing it everyday. What got me in competitive was the first customs that were hosted in a private Epic games server and after that I placed 1st in blitz showdown, this got me invited to the skirmish.
What does it mean to you that you now represent Team Liquid, being from the Netherlands, the place where Team Liquid was founded?
I'm really excited to join, it always was a dream for me to be in Liquid and now i'm actually here.
You’ve played Fortnite competitively for quite a while now and had a lot of great results through 2018 and 2019, what is your goal for 2020?
My goal for 2020 is to be at least top 3 in the Power rankings and just do good in every event doesn't matter what game mode.
What’s your favourite weapon in the game? Are there any weapons that you enjoy messing around with even if it isn’t that good competitively?
favorite weapon, probably nades or rpg just because it takes so much skill to use, after that purple/gold pump. 
If you could bring back one old weapon or vehicle what would it be and why?
Probably the minigun, it was legit the most fun weapon to use.
What’s one of your favourite moments that you’ve had so far while playing Fortnite? (Most memorable kill, coming 6th at the world cup, winning your first event, or anything else that comes to mind!)
the shockwave play i did in one of the solo skirmish weeks, i think everyone knows this moment.

Wanneer kwam je voor het eerst in aanraking met Fortnite en wanneer begon je het competitief te spelen?
Ik speelde mijn eerste Fortnite game toen de het spel net uitgekomen was. Ik vond er toen niet heel veel aan en heb het voor zeker een maand niet meer aangeraakt. Uiteindelijk begon ik het steeds meer te spelen. Ik ging voor het eerst competitief spelen nadat ik een van de eerste customs had gewonnen in een private Epic games server. Daarna won ik de Blitz Showdown waardoor ik uitgenodigd was voor de skirmish
Wat betekent het voor je dat je nu als Nederlander deel kan uitmaken van Team Liquid, een esport organisatie uit Nederland?
Erg gaaf om deel uit te maken van Team Liquid, het was altijd al een droom om voor dit team te spelen en nu gaat het het gebeuren!
Je hebt al een flinke tijd Fornite competitief gespeeld met geweldige resultaten in 2018 en 2019, wat is je doel voor 2020?
Mijn goal voor 2020 is om minimaal in de top 3 te komen van de Power Rankings en het goed te doen op elk event, met elke game mode.
Wat is je favoriete wapen in de game? En zijn er wapens die je leuk vind om te gebruiken, zelfs als ze niet zo goed zijn in de competitie?
Favoriete wapen, waarschijnlijk granaten en de RPG omdat er veel skill voor nodig is. Nadat zou ik kiezen voor de purple/gold pimp.
Als je een oud wapen of voertuig terug kon brengen in de game, welke zou dat dan zijn?
De minigun, dat was oprecht het leukste wapen om te gebruiken
Wat is een van je favoriete momenten die je hebt meegemaakt terwijl je Fortnite speelt?
De Shockwave play die ik deed in een van de Solo Skirmish Weeks, ik denk dat iedereen dat moment wel kent!
