Oh My Gosh It's Geesh!

April 25 2019

Garrett “Geesh” Shearer is dropping into our Apex Legends team! He will be joining Thomas “Flanker” Cook, Tanner “Rogue” Trebb, Gage “caliburn” Meyer, and Brenden “Casper” Marino on our growing Apex Legends roster, bringing some Octane expertise to our squad.

Geesh started his professional esports career playing H1Z1 for Panda Global back in 2017. Since then, he’s played competitively for Impact and TSM. But joining our squad has dropped him in the hot zone!

What is your usual strategy going into a match?

Since I am the in-game leader for the team, I tend to tell them positive things to get everyone focused. We go over the things we should be focusing on for the specific game.

What gives teams a better chance of survival?

Overall, the best way to survive is getting your team in a good spot on the map. By having map knowledge and safezone knowledge, you can position your team in a spot that will guarantee them a high placement.

Which areas do you prefer to drop in and why?

I love dropping in Skull Town. It is a good spot to drop if you want to fight a lot of people off spawn.

What are your favorite weapons to use and why?

In public games I like to use the Wingman and Peacekeeper. In scrims, I like to use the R-301 and Peacekeeper.

Why is communication with your teammates so important in Apex Legends?

Communication in Apex is very important because every character has a skill that can benefit your team. Knowing when to push a team or when to when to disengage is very important also.

What drew you to your current main champion?

The mobility and All In skill that Octane has fits my play style very well. I like to fight people close range with Octane because of the movement he has with his syringe active.

Adding Geesh as our in-game leader is a win for us, amigo. Sorry. Sort of. With more and more Apex Legends tourneys cropping up, it’s definitely the perfect time to keep souping up our squad with skilled battle royale players who aren’t afraid to drop in and farm kills. Now our legs are ready to go. Sorry again. We make it look easy, but- Okay, we’ll stop now.
