A Salute to Scoom, The Rock From Gibraltar

October 11 2018

2018 has been an incredible year for Team Liquid PUBG. While fans will never forget our team's never ending list of chicken dinners and tournaments wins, it was Keiron “Scoom” Prescott becoming the PUBG father Jeemzz, Sambty and ibiza never had that stands out as the most heartwarming tale. He not only played a fundamental role in birthing the team, but supported them through all the ups and downs. And it was with his knowledge, skills, patience and understanding that Scoom helped solidify us as the best PUBG team in the world.

"Scoom is an amazing person and has the ingredients that make a great leader. I'm incredibly sad that he will be leaving Team Liquid, but we hope that our fans will continue to support his next steps. He has been an immense part of our team, and we'll always be around for him when he needs us."

- Steve Arhancet

There always comes a time when parents must say a tearful goodbye. When they must wave as their children take on the next stage of their lives, to become their own persons and achieve their own goals. And while it's hard to face these changes sometimes, children know – deep down – that their father will always be with them, in his teachings, his advice, the wisdom he passed down. That will never be forgotten.

"When Keiron joined Team Liquid back in August 2017, I immediately recognized in him a delightful combination of strong leadership and consummate professionalism -- the type of player that represents everything that Team Liquid strives to be. It is not a stretch to say that we built our PUBG program around Keiron, a fact exemplified by the top-tier roster that he himself put together earlier this year. While I am saddened by his departure and I will miss him dearly, I am thrilled that I was able to work with Keiron and I know that he will find success wherever he goes"

- Brittany Lattanzio, Team Manager

The Rock from Gibraltar, Scoom brought a sense of stability and methodology to the Battle Royale genre. We understood that he wanted to build something great, and we're proud of what the team has accomplished with him at the helm. Though we now go our separate ways, we will always remember him as the guy that put Team Liquid PUBG on the map. For that, we are forever grateful to have had him as part of our PUBG team, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours.

Family is forever.

As Scoom once said, “I will always be Liquid.”

A message from Scoom:

"I joined Liquid in August 2017, and my year in this organization has been amazing. I'm really honored and blessed to have been a part of it. From owners down to managers, everyone has been super supportive of me and the team since day one, and passionate about our success.

It was a pleasure playing alongside my teammates. We had our ups and downs in terms of results, but in the end, we had an amazing run and solidified ourselves as the best team in the world. I will definitely miss playing with my teammates, but I can't wait to see how they will continue developing and dominating the scene.

I want to thank Steve for believing in me when we made this roster, and his passion towards gaming and esports is second to none. He has an amazing attitude, and I'm grateful that he will have a team that will continue to dominate! I also want to thank everyone else in Team Liquid, and I appreciate everything you've done for me.

And last but not least, I want to thank the fans for supporting the team and myself. You have all been amazing. Without you all, we really wouldn't be here. So continue cheering for Team Liquid. And hopefully me, too!

Even though it saddens me to leave Team Liquid, as it was my first organization within PUBG, I am extremely excited for the future and look forward to continuing my journey in PUBG!

See you on the battlefield!”
