Halo Update: Liquid welcomes back Eco and StelluR

January 20 2017

Towards the end of 2016, Liquid Halo began to gain quite a bit of momentum. Consistent Top 3 placings across 4 major events put us in a great position, but sometimes, change is needed to reach maximum potential. For 2017, Team Liquid is proud to re-introduce Braedon "StelluR" Boettcher and Kevin "Eco" Smith back to the roster where they will join Timothy "Rayne" Tinkler and Zane "Penguin" Hearon.

"Although we had a fairly successful regular season, we weren't really able to translate any of it into success on LAN. With that said, after the season ended, Rayne and Penguin wanted to build a team that would synergize a lot better from a personality perspective. That lead us to our decision to approach Eco and Stellur since we built up history with them and know how they act from their last time on Team Liquid. We are certain that their individual skills, game sense, and communication will be a perfect fit for our 2017 HWC season roster."

- Kory Arruda, Halo Coach

"I'm very excited to get another shot on Team Liquid alongside Eco, Penguin, and Rayne. I have high hopes for this roster and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish."

- Braedon "StelluR" Boettcher

"The last time I was on Team Liquid, we unfortunately didn't achieve what we had hoped for and the roster fell apart. This time, I won't let that happen and am excited to be back with Stellur and teaming up with Rayne and Penguin to get another shot at this."

- Kevin "Eco" Smith

Even if the team may sport new faces (or old ones depending on where you come from), please support them as they try to bring home titles for Team Liquid! Don't forget, you can catch the new roster in action January 21st, at the UGC HCS 50k Qualifier!
