LoL Roster Update: The Missing Link

January 06 2017

It's been 2 years since competitive play has last seen the name, Austin "LiNk" Shin. The versatile midlaner became known through his stint as a member of Counter Logic Gaming, contributing to what most considered their first "golden age" through his deep champion pool and consistent gameplay. After a less-than-stellar performance from the team during the 2015 Spring Split, Link retired.

Fast forward to 2017, Link will be making a comeback to join Team Liquid as our substitute midlaner:

"Hello! This might be unexpected for a lot of people, but this marks my return as a competitive League of Legends player. Team Liquid contacted me a few months ago saying they were interested in me playing for them. I have always been an avid follower of Team Liquid since the days of Brood War so long ago and with their roster, I thought this would be a good place to mark my return. I hope to showcase some of my old skills as well as some of my new ones I learned during my break."

- Austin "Link" Shin

"Link is an overall intelligent player and I'm glad to see him as part of the Team Liquid family. He has awesome game sense and just knows what to do in every situation. He'll spend most of the Spring Split playing along side Goldengod and splitting time in scrims and LCS."
