Join the Herd! - Volunteers for Social and Writing

The herd is growing! Liquid is looking for volunteers for both social media and news/feature writing, and we're calling on our fans to fill the spots on our team. We're lucky to have one of the most passionate fan bases around, and we know that many of you want to be a part of something bigger. If you have any questions about the experience, then just hit us up because several of our current staff members started out this same way. Legions of our fans have shown us their talents through twitter and fan art contests, and now we want to hear from the more eloquent among you!

1. Social Media Volunteer
   
   • Contributes event and team coverage through Twitter, Facebook, and other major social media networks
     
   • Obtains player content, news articles, and videos about the team to help promote on the Team Liquid network
     
   • Engages with fans through social media
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
2. News/Feature Writing Volunteer
   
   • Writes news articles about tournaments and team performance
     
   • Writes feature articles (interviews, profile pieces, in-depth analysis, etc.) about the team and players
     
   • Updates other written content on the team site when necessary
   
   
   
   
   
   

• Knowledge of Dota 2, StarCraft 2, Hearthstone, Smash, or Street Fighter
  
• Interest in multiple games is a plus
  
• Competence in written English and communication
  
• Proficiency in telling stories and creating excitement
  
• Ability to craft well composed posts/tweets
  
• Availability for non-North American timezones and tournaments
  
• Expertise in memes might be helpful

• Full coverage for at least 4 events a month
  
• Meetings every Tuesday, 1pm EDT (or attendance during possible Saturday meetings)

• 1 full feature per month

• News posts for results whenever necessary

While we are currently calling for volunteers, we are also planning to expand our part time staff in the near future. Preference for these positions will be given to volunteers that excel in their roles, so this is a good chance for a head start.
