Liquid takes D2CL Season 6!

November 13 2015
It didn’t take long.

Barely one month under the Liquid banner, KuroKy, FATA-, MATUMBA, MinD_contRoL and JerAx would claim victory in battle, taking down Team Empire 3-1 in the Grand Final and be crowned the Season 6 winners of the Dota 2 Champions League, netting a cool $25,000 to their name.

To say we had high expectations for Liquid`Dota would be an understatement. We knew we were signing a top European team. And we knew exactly what the team was capable of. Even then, the squad fell just short of qualifying for the first-ever Dota 2 Major this weekend in Frankfurt. And to add insult to injury, they flew to Singapore for Nanyang Dota 2 Championships, walking away with fourth place—a placing that wasn’t good enough.

But competition is volatile. You don't just fall down, and not get back up. Taking D2CL is an important step for the team, especially with a squad destined for greatness. Mindset is incredibly important and victory is victory no matter how you look at it. Team Liquid fought back with an incredible Game 4 that is not to be missed.

This victory is a confidence boost for Team Liquid, as they look forward to a packed schedule ahead, even without The Frankfurt Major. Their next LAN will be The Summit 4 in December, and they’ll continue playing on in the StarLadder i-League qualifiers and The Defense playoffs.

Thanks to all our fans for cheering our team on!
