nitr0: "We have a few things up our sleeves."

November 12 2015
First of all, welcome back to NA, how was the trip to Cluj-Napoca?

Thank you! I personally had a pretty good time going to Cluj-Napoca. The city was insanely beautiful, especially at night! Also, I live in a very flat state in the United States so seeing mountains is always something special to me.

What are some things you've learned competing in a Major with the current TL roster?

We learned a lot from attending DreamHack Cluj-Napoca. Besides the results we had, I think we learned more than ever considering the length of our games. We learned a few valuable things, mostly because we cycled through all ours tactics (both ours and the opponents) by the time overtime comes around.

In a few short months, the team really has improved! Can you briefly explain to us what has positively changed since Hiko and James joined, and playing in the Major?

What improved the most is actually specifying our roles throughout the team. We have solidified our individual roles and worked on them ever since he joined. Hiko helped us by bringing different strategies to the table and all that experience he has is incredibly valuable. I can safely say everything has improved when we picked him up. James helps with strategies and brings a lot to the table via fundamentals and communication.

Going into the iBuypower Event, what's important to the team right now and how do you think Liquid will fair against the other NA teams at the LAN setting?

I can honestly say considering our online matches, we should be favored along with Luminosity Gaming (LG) to either win the iBUYPOWER LAN or place a very high seed. We have a history of not doing all too well on LAN, but we have a few things up our sleeves that are going to change that.

Which two teams pose the biggest threat??

The two teams that pose the biggest threat, in my eyes, have to be Counter Logic Gaming and LG because CLG have always beaten us on LAN, aside from maybe one match. Then LG are just extremely good on a LAN setting. Those two teams are the biggest threat in my eyes right now.

What have you and the team been doing to prepare the event: both this one and the next (I believe both are NA LANs)

Without saying too much, we have been implementing strats and trying to fix our CT sides a lot more in practice. We talked about previous matches and demo review tape together as a team. I think we should learn from our past mistakes and improve upon them and we’ve been working on it.

Lastly, is there anything you'd like to say to all your fans out there?

Shoutout to all our sponsors: HyperX, Razer, Quest, Alienware, HTC, NeedforSEAT, Namecheap, G2A, and Lootcrate! Shoutout to all the fans that always support us, it means a lot to us!

Bonus Question! Lots of video games came out, have you checked any of them out?

Yes there have been a lot of recently released games, unfortunately, I have not tried that many besides Halo 5 and Overwatch. Halo 5 is my thang!
