The five man squad from Spain that makes up TL Heroes is busy with last minute preparations for their first major offline event: PGL Spring Champions of the Storm. The team blazed through the upper bracket of the qualifier this past March, stepping over Fnatic, Gamers2, and SK Gaming—the other three teams in attendance at the event.

“We know this tournament is the most important for now” says Victor ‘FalcoN’ Lopez. “That doesn’t change anything. We will do our best, as always.” The team is no stranger to LAN; the Duran brothers (VortiX & LucifroN) have a storied past in WC3 and more notably SC2 . FalcoN also holds an impressive record for WoW Arena, placing well at Blizzcon and IEM among other major offline events. “We've been training a lot, testing compositions, and theorycrafting. We all know what a big tournament means: everyone can beat everyone.” Francisco ‘GranPkt’ Sorribas is cautious yet confident, “We will play as focused as we can.”

“The most important thing is being patient enough until there is a window of opportunity” - LucifroN

The team has an impressive track record, winning nearly every single event they’ve entered under the Team Liquid banner. With the current roster, they’ve won four Zotac Cups, the GosuGamers Enter the Storm Cup, the Dingit Invitational, and a multitude of other tournaments and showmatches.

“We’re confident when it comes to draft, and depending on the enemy we face we take or ban different heroes,” asserts Cristofer ‘Blackscorp’ Embareck. “There are some teams that pick some champions no matter what if they're available. Jaina, Illidan, Diablo are some examples. In our case, we give the same value to all the ‘good’ heroes and play them depending on both our composition and our opponent's—we don't force them in,” adds Juan ‘VortiX’ Moreno.

“At this moment we are very confident in our play style, we are without a doubt one of the strongest teams in europe now.” - GranPkt

“In-game we try to make the best calls at any moment and take the game when we have any opportunity,” Blackscorp reveals. The team knows that the right mentality is to remain calm even when the team is behind on levels or at a tower disadvantage. “We usually try to find the best play rather than think of how behind we are. We look for any way to get us back in the game,” declares Pedro ‘LucifroN’ Duran, “Perhaps force a fight when we're even in talents even if we're 1-2 levels behind; maybe wait for the late game if we feel our comp is stronger there; try to ambush someone if we feel our opponents are overextending. The most important thing is being patient enough until there's a window of opportunity to get back.”

While the Duran brothers have the most experience in competition, the rest of the team insists that they will not wither under the spotlight. “We are very used to playing under pressure; the team handles it quite well. Particularly Blackscorp and myself, we LOVE the pressure situations. Those kinds of moments are where we shine,” GranPkt affirms. “At this moment we feel very confident in our play style. We are without a doubt one of the strongest teams in Europe right now. We can say that we are in very good shape.”

The event will run this weekend from April 24th-26th, and will be livestreamed at http://www.twitch.tv/pgl_hots . Further information about the event can be found here : http://dreamhack.ro/bucharest-2015/en/tournaments/pgl-spring-champions-of-the-storm/.
