We've always been close to those that have supported us the most, and we're lucky that home grown talent always seems to find us. That isn't just true for our players – in fact, many of our staff have grown up with us over the years. Back End Website Developer

Description:

Team Liquid's roots are in community websites and wikis, and we are looking for one (1) back end developer to continue building our current and future web properties. The developers will work closely with our website team, our wiki team, and our Chief Technology Officer in Utrecht, NL.

About the role:

  • Type: Full Time.
  • Location: Utrecht, NL.
  • Reports to: Head of Websites, Head of Liquipedia, CTO.

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain website back end usability and functionality.
  • Manage all databases and develop necessary databases for future website features.
  • Develop new features for current and future websites.
  • Coordinate with front end developers to ensure compatibility and usability.
  • Work with all website teams to conceptualize new features and websites.

What you should have:

  • Ability to relocate permanently to Utrecht, NL highly preferred. EU citizens with the applicable visas highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Strong experience in PHP development, both with and without application frameworks.
  • Excellent understanding of secure coding practices and web security, including but not limited to SQL / code injection, XSS, CSRF, serialization attacks, and others.
  • Excellent understanding of web performance and the use of correct database indices, caching layers, and other efficient methods.
  • Knowledge of tools like composer, NPM, and others for dependency management.
  • Familiarity with git version control.
  • Experience with LESS, SASS, Python development with Django, bootstrap, and jQuery is a bonus but not required.

People Operations Coordinator

Description:

Team Liquid is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join in our success! We are looking for an individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment with challenging yet incredibly rewarding work. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this person will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR and Administrative functions of Team Liquid’s Netherlands office.

About the role:

  • Type: Full Time.
  • Location: Utrecht, NL.
  • Reports to: Head of People and Culture.

What you'll be doing:

  • Act as the point of contact for day-to-day HR/People Operations related questions and issues in the NL office.
  • Work with hiring managers and external applicants throughout the recruitment life-cycle, from job postings and pre-screening to applicant management and interviewing.
  • Support international employees with visa and relocation matters.
  • Work with the Head of People & Culture to execute on initiatives including talent management, and labor law related matters.
  • Partner with the Finance and Accounting Department to assist with day-to-day tasks around credit card management, processing outgoing payments, and ensuring communication on changes for payroll related items.
  • Manage the NL HR operational tasks relating to policy adherence/adoption, vacation time, sick leave, etc.
  • Onboard all new hires in the NL office in coordination with business leaders, facilities, and technology.
  • Be the driver of the office culture, organizing company events, finding opportunities for employee recognition, etc.
  • Assist with administrative office duties including vendor and facility management, travel, mail and packages, and wet signature processing.

What you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of HR practices in the Netherlands; Prior experience in an HR or People Operations role preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, both oral and written.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, quickly changing and highly ambiguous environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and manage conflicting priorities of daily tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to be an objective decision maker.

Front End Website Developer

Description:

Team Liquid is looking for one (1) front end developer to contribute to the development of future website projects.

About the role:

  • Type: Full Time.
  • Location: Remote / Utrecht, NL.
  • Reports to: Head of Websites.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting with the front-end development of our website initiatives.
  • Maintain front end usability and functionality for the Team Liquid website and other technology properties.
  • Suggest improvements to the website’s user experience by implementing user interface changes and collaborating with all Technology teams to conceptualize and develop new features.
  • Coordinating with back end developers to ensure compatibility and usability between front end system and back end system.

What you should have:

  • Ability to relocate permanently to Utrecht, NL highly preferred. EU citizens with the applicable visas highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Fluent in development using React.
  • Excellent understanding of best practices (maintainability, performance, security) for each coding language.
  • Knowledge of website accessibility standards (WCAG).
  • Experience with the principles of interaction design, user-centered concepts, UX research and design, human-computer interaction, or interface design.
  • Familiarity with at least one CSS preprocessor and git version control.

Player Manager (Card Strategy)

Description:

Team Liquid is searching for a multi-talented card games expert to manage our players across Hearthstone, Magic, Autochess, and more. Our roster in these games fields some of the biggest names in streaming and competitive play. We’re looking for a manager who can help push them even further!

About the role:

  • Type: Independent Contractor.
  • Location: Remote-based.
  • Reports to: Head of Athletics.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage Team Liquid’s players and ensure that they meet all media, sponsor, and tournament obligations.
  • Supervise Team Liquid’s players during events, public appearances, and community initiatives.
  • Manage player travel, accommodations and player requests and organize player schedules.
  • Maintain constant communication with, and report to, other Team Liquid managers, supervising managers, and the CEO regarding player schedules, obligations and developments.
  • Coordinate with other Team Liquid departments for all player requests, including but not limited to social media posts, sponsored content, signing sessions, interviews, photo sessions, video sessions, AMAs, Discord events, and others.
  • Manage Team Liquid’s community initiatives in Card Games, including fan events, fan meets, and public appearances.
  • Assist Team Liquid’s PR, Communications, and Client Services departments in communicating with clients, partners, media outlets, fan groups, tournament organizers, and other third parties.

What you should have:

  • Excellent written and fluent verbal communication skills in English.
  • Must have experience as a community manager at live events and online.
  • Work experience in global companies is a bonus but not required.
  • Work experience as a video editor is a bonus but not required.
